Founder Nancy Smith looks on with anticipation as President Beth Swiderski and Treasurer Shane Biltz sign the documents ensuring Shy Wolf’s long search for a new larger location has finally come to fruition.  The new location will be 17 acres at the corner of 3rd Street NW and Golden Gate Boulevard in what is known as the Golden Gate Estates.  This was the culmination of two years’ planning, brought about through a partnership with Crown Management, and through the support of the Board of County Commissioners.  The rezoning was finally approved in October at the last Commission meeting, allowing Shy Wolf to proceed with the closing on the 15th of December, in time for our own Christmas miracle.

The new larger location will allow the sanctuary to rescue more animals, offer more educational programs, and to be a resource for the community in times of natural disaster.  To see more about our plans visit our site HERE.
