Running with the Wolves

Bikers ride to raise funds and awareness for wolves

May 16, Left for Dead (L4D), a local motorcycle riding association with nearly 100 members, organized “Running with the Wolves.”  The day-long poker run hosted over 135 riders and others, and included stops at Everglades Motorcycle Services, Shy Wolf Sanctuary, Stevie Tomatoes and Rusty’s Raw Bar.  Included in the days activities were cycle competitions, a silent auction, raffle, and food, drinks and music at L4D’s clubhouse,The Boneyard. We’d like to thank the members who planned it, the sponsors who supported the ride and all of the participants who helped raise $5,113 towards the Belle Glades dogs and their new home!

Bryan Landry, Club President and event chair, couldn’t have been happier with the turnout and the chance to partner with an organization committed to exotic animal rescue and protection:

It was important to L4D to identify and support an organization that was impactful, that had a history of making a difference right here in our backyard. When we took a look at Shy Wolf Sanctuary, it was clear they spent charitable dollars prudently and were serious about educating and inspiring folks to treat animals with love and respect. Running with the Wolves was an opportunity to help Shy Wolf, promote the many benefits of membership in our riding association, and have a great time!

Who is L4D?
