Whisper came to Shy Wolf Sanctuary at 10 weeks old. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) received a call from someone who found Whisper in their backyard. The people who found her tried to take care of her but realized she was a lot to handle. FWC contacted Shy Wolf Sanctuary believing Whisper was a wolfdog. Through DNA testing, we confirmed she was 62.2% Gray Wolf which makes her a mid-high content wolfdog.

She enjoys walks, chasing sticks, playing with squeaky toys, and splashing in her little water tub. She loves to give kisses to our volunteers. She is still too small to interact directly with other pack members, but she loves to meet them all through the fence. Whisper will stay with Shy Wolf Sanctuary as one of our resident wolfdogs.
