Scout is a wolfdog that was rescued with her brother Kellogg, by Shy Wolf Sanctuary from a shelter in September of 2022. The shelter had stated that the male was more nervous than the female, but neither animals showed any signs of aggression. They were surrendered to the shelter as indoor/outdoor dogs. During the evaluation process, the shelter noted that these two wolfdogs needed proper containment, such as an enclosure with lean ins and anti dig, and they had a high prey drive for small dogs and chickens. We stepped in to take the siblings with hope that they would adjust to sanctuary life. 

Once settled in at the sanctuary, our volunteers and staff fell in love with Kellogg and Scout! Scout is much smaller than her brother, but that doesn’t stop her from telling him who’s boss from time to time! Scout is a very affectionate animal, and loves to shower her favorite volunteers and staff with kisses. 

We were able to bring Kellogg and Scout to our facility through the gracious generosity of The Kellogg Family Foundation, thus the names Kellogg and Scout.
