Red Nose Pitbull (FL) – Adult
Meet Sophie Sweets! Sophie is a spayed female red nose pitbull about 10 years young. Ms. Sweets was abandoned by her people at the gate. Sophie has demonstrated no resource guarding or other behavioral issues since being fostered. Initially Sophie tested positive for heartworms but has since been retested and proven negative. She is ready for adoption and has been great with people and dogs, including two blind dogs and a small terrier.
It’s imperative that interested adopters complete the adoption application so that we can properly match Sophie Sweets to the best fit for her!
After faithfully serving animals and the community for over 30 years, Red Gate Farm Rescue, is forced to terminate operations due to a serious health crisis on the part of the founder and primary caregiver, Debra Jarrell. Red Gate Farm currently houses thirteen dogs that are all in immediate need of relocation to another no-kill rescue organization, or better, a permanent adopter. Long time rescue partner, Shy Wolf Sanctuary Education and Experience Center, is coordinating the relocation effort on behalf of Red Gate Farm Rescue.
*Sophie Sweets gets along great with Mr. Peabody and would love to find a home with him. She is a cuddle bug and wants to sleep in the bed with you whenever possible.
NOTE: She is fostered for Shy Wolf and any placement will require our normal screening process for placement including backgrounds, property ownership, references, and home visit.
