Ginger

Wolfdog

Ginger is a wolfdog that was approximately four-to-five months old at time of intake (late August 2020).  She is full of energy and love but due to her habit of eating anything in sight, we made the difficult decision to keep her at the sanctuary.  There would be no way to “Ginger-proof” your home, and another emergency surgery is not something she needs to go through.

Ginger has been introduced to another rescue named Haku.  They have formed a fast and strong bond and love to run and play, making our visitors and volunteers laugh daily.  Ginger is very energetic, and we aren’t sure if any other animal at the sanctuary could handle her besides Haku. Haku has a lot of patience, and he also really likes to play with Ginger. You will find Ginger laying on top of her house belly up, enjoying the sun! Her favorite enrichment and thing to play with are palm fronds and her absolute favorite person is Liz our Operations Manager.”
