Viral Video

Many of you have seen a viral video that originated on social media talking about visiting wolves at Shy Wolf Sanctuary.
The animals in the video are not our animals. They are Seacrest Wolf Preserve animals. The video footage was taken by Jon Watson, who also visited our animals in 2013.Someone pirated Jon's video and added our name without the
permission of Jon Watson, Seacrest Wolf Preserve, or Shy Wolf Sanctuary. We have made every effort to remove the video and give credit to Jon Watson and Seacrest Wolf Preserve in Chipley, FL.  We have been overwhelmed with
interest to come and see our wolves and wolfdogs. So much so, that it crashed our website! We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration in your efforts to contact us. Our volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible.

Shy Wolf Sanctuary, Education and Experience Center is still located at a private residence and does not post our address for that reason. Because we are not open to the public, walk-in guests cannot be accommodated and a reservation is required to visit. We are booked until early fall with a long waiting list. To be added to that list, email your name, dates of interest, group size and cell phone number to info@shywolfsanctuary.org

If you would like to check into other wolf and wolfdog organizations in Florida, please visit the following sites. Some may be able to accommodate a visit, but all would welcome support and volunteers:

Big Oak Wolf Sanctuary – Jacksonville, FL (Northeast)

In Harmony with Nature – Orlando, FL
(Central)
Nite Howls – DeFuniak Springs, FL

(Panhandle)

Seacrest Wolf Preserve – Chipley, FL
(Panhandle)

You can see our animals in videos on YouTube, Facebook, or our website. Please like, follow and support our efforts to provide, not only a better environment for our residents, but also the opportunity for more people to interact and learn about them in as natural an environment as possible.

Thank you for your understanding, interest and support of our efforts! We were built by volunteers and donors keep us operating. Our efforts to move to a larger property and build a prototype world class facility continue. You can support our efforts to rescue more animals and reach more people by volunteering, donating, becoming a board member or planning a fundraiser.

For more information on these efforts please email: admin@shywolfsanctuary.org

We do not buy, sell or breed.  We Rescue.
Shy Wolf Sanctuary, Education and Experience Center fills a gap between wildlife rehabbers, domestic rescues, and zoos by rescuing captive-bred exotic animals.
Our mission is to reconnect people and animals through education. We believe in healing mind, body and spirit for all two and four legged through our Healing Hearts programs.
On behalf of our founders, Kent and Nancy Smith, our volunteers and our residents... THANK YOU for your interest and support!
