Animals as Teachers

The animals who find their way to Shy Wolf Sanctuary come from situations of abandonment, abuse, and neglect. When they arrive, they quickly realize they are safe. They are treated with kindness and a gentle touch. They will have a loving home for the rest of their lives. Founder Nancy Smith says people and animals come to Shy Wolf Sanctuary to heal. Animals teach us many things about healing and moving forward in our lives. We treat each animal as an individual and look for the lessons they so wisely teach us about compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, kindness, purpose and unconditional love.
