It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of our precious Baby Girl.
Prairie dogs live approximately 8 years, and we believe she was at least 8 years old. Because prairie dogs don’t tolerate being handled and cause great pain with their bites, they generally don’t make good pets. But Baby Girl was one in a million. She would lay contently on her back in your arms and fall asleep with back rubs. As a Shy Wolf Sanctuary ambassador, Baby Girl impacted and educated thousands of people at the sanctuary and out in our community.
